RBC Capital Markets Scholarships – The Scholarship for Women and The Diversity Scholarship

Description: RBC Capital Markets is committed to fostering workplace diversity. Through their two scholarships - the RBC Capital Markets Scholarship for Women and the Diversity Scholarship, they aim to recognize and reward outstanding Canadian undergraduate business, engineering, and economics students, who are interested in pursuing a career in banking or finance. There are up to four available scholarships for both the Scholarship for Women and the Diversity Scholarship, each in the amount of $5000. Scholarship recipients will also receive an offer of paid employment for a 2019 Summer Analyst position at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto. Scholarship recipients will be paired with a senior professional from RBC Capital Markets, who will serve as a mentor.

Eligibility – Scholarship for Women: Must be a female student in full-time undergraduate studies graduating in December 2019 or Spring 2020, enrolled in a business, engineering or economics program at a university in Canada. Must be available to work full-time May-August 2019. Must have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA/80%, with diverse extra-curricular participation and community involvement. Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or an individual who is legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer until, and including, September 2019.

Eligibility – Diversity Scholarship: Must be anyone who identifies as a visible minority, female, Aboriginal or Indigenous background, LGBT+, Veterans, and/or persons with disabilities. Must be students in full-time undergraduate studies graduating in December 2019 or Spring 2020, who are enrolled in a business, engineering or economics program at a university in Canada. Must be available to work full-time May-August 2019. Must have a Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA/80%, with diverse extra-curricular participation and community involvement.
