The CREATE DAV Program at Lassonde is hosting an annual CREATE DAV Bootcamp 2017. As a part of this year’s event, the program will host a one-day conference on Data Analytics and Visualization.
Friday, November 17 will include talks by programs guest speakers, experts in Data Analytics and Visualization from academia, followed by an evening reception.
Saturday, November 18 will include an Entrepreneurs Panel consisting of start-up founders and a talk by the Director of the Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology (BEST) about the program and technology commercialization. A Career Panel consisting of successful academic and industry professionals will discuss industry paths in this area.
Sunday, November 19 will be a professional development training for trainees.
The NSERC CREATE DAV at Lassonde program provides interdisciplinary training in both computational analytics and perceptual design methodologies for deriving value from big data for a broad range of industrial applications. The program is a multi-institution, multi-sector collaboration between York University (the lead institution), OCAD University, Concordia University and the University of Toronto, together with a number of leading Canadian high-tech companies in Toronto and Montreal focused on applications in cloud computing, digital cultures, health technology and smart cities.
