Electric Dreams: Technology and the Future of Art

Posted on

In partnership with the Design Exchange, Canada's design museum, we are proud to present our third and final Next 100 series event, Electric Dreams, a free public debate on the subject of Art as a Digital Experience.

The panel will bring together artists, technologists, and art critics to discuss how exponential technologies will impact the next 100 years of art, design, and entertainment.

Modes of creation, curation, and consumption of art are all changing thanks to social media, the Internet, 3d Printing, VR and other tech innovations rapidly.

Panelists will discuss how digital technology is radically transforming the art world.

Before the panel, visitors can take part in a free Augmented Reality Art Exhibit.

The exhibit integrates augmented reality technology to allow viewers to interact with physical artwork digitally. An otherwise static piece of artwork is enhanced with flashing colours, moving objects and more. Come early!
