The Lassonde School of Engineering’s 9-day orientation program, WeekZero, is fast approaching and you don’t want to miss out!
Every year, over 400 freshman and upper year students band together during Week Zero to socialize with their peers, get to know their campus and, most importantly, make memories that last a lifetime. WeekZero is an essential first step in connecting with the Lassonde and York University community that will shape your next four years.
Each day is packed with exciting themed activities. This year’s program will include many parties, BBQ dinners, beach day, casino night, a car smash event and an engineering competition – to name a few. Make sure to check the WeekZero website for the schedule!
To help with the transition into university life, there are various workshops and events to familiarize students with helpful university resources, to provide tips on handling university life, and to meet key faculty and staff, including Dean Jane Goodyer.
York University understands a majority of its students are commuters and travelling back and forth during the long WeekZero days can be tough. Commuter Rooms have been set up for these students to stay overnight. Just remember to sign up for the sleepover option when purchasing your Kit and review the packing checklist.
