Please join us for the inaugural Dr. Robert Moses PCI Geomatics Lectureship at the Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence. We are excited to welcome Professor LeDrew to speak on big data, decision making and user experience.

The PCI Geomatics Lectureship was created in the spirit of Dr. Moses’ big thinking about the world and inter-relations between technology and society.

PCI Geomatics and York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering continue to collaborate with each other closely as part of their long term partnership to further develop Canadian excellence in remote sensing and geospatial technology development.

Data Management for Decision Making: the Users' Experience

Professor LeDrew will speak about science data management for knowledge-based decision making and how the users’ experience contributes to the challenging task of converting the data to information.

He will discuss the experiences and challenges of including user needs and issues into data catalogues including the Polar Data Catalogue.
