Lassonde Bursaries, Scholarships and Awards

This month the Lassonde School of Engineering is featuring the following awards (Deadlines may vary):


F.C.C.P Electrical Engineering Award

Value: $2,000

Deadline: November 25, 2018

Description: The F.C.C.P. Ont. Education Foundation Electrical Engineering Award will be granted to an undergraduate student enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at the Lassonde School of Engineering. To be eligible students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 6.00 and demonstrate leadership through involvement in their community and extracurricular activities.

How to Apply: To apply for this award, please fill out the current Student Financial Profile.  Applicants must write a letter outlining their leadership and community involvement activities addressed to the Secretary, Awards Committee at 105 Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence, 11 Arboretum Lane, York University.


 

Merei Family Scholarship

Value: $1,000

Deadline: November 25, 2018

Description: The Merei Family Scholarships have been created to benefit students enrolled in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University. Two scholarships will be awarded to the students who have completed 60 or 90 credits and have the highest cumulative grade point average (1 for a student with 60 credits and 1 for s student with 90 credits). Two scholarships will be awarded to first year students and selection will be based in academic standing, demonstrated leadership and financial need with preference given to female candidates. This award will be renewable should the recipient continue to meet the criteria and maintain a minimum GPA of 7.5. The remaining two scholarships will be awarded to continuing students (minimum 24 credits completed) who has good academic standing, demonstrated leadership and financial need.

Other External Awards:

The Personal Scholarship for Engineering Students in Ontario: Students must submit to the Student Welcome and Support Centre by November 30, 2018 in order to be considered by the Dean's office for recommendation.
