NSCERC Discovery Grant Results

This summer has started off strong for researchers at Lassonde.

NSERC Discovery Grant results were released on May 21, with the School receiving a total of 18 DG grants at a 78% success rate, totaling $2.8M. While York University earned a success rate of 70%, Lassonde researchers were the only two successful recipients of the NSERC Discovery Accelerator Supplement Awards (DAS). Congratulations to DAS recipients Professor Aijun An and Associate Professor Gene Cheung, both from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

The Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant program supports ongoing programs of research with long-term goals rather than a single short-term project or collection of projects, recognizing the creativity and innovation at the heart of all research advances.
