The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Youth Training Canada mobilizes 10,000 Canadian youth to advocate and implement the SDGs through 100 local actions and 50 trainings in colleges and universities across Canada. The York University Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Office of Sustainability have teamed up to host the 2019 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals Training on-campus on Saturday, March 16 in Vari Hall.
At this event, you will have a chance to:
Listen to a keynote speech given by Julie Marshall, United Nations World Food Programme’s Communications Officer and Strategic Communications lead in Canada.
Interact with UN officials, policymakers, and civil society activists who identified, created, and are implementing the Sustainable Development Goals around the world.
Develop a deeper understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and be connected with organizations through which you can be the SDG Advocates.
Receive a certficate of training completion to add to your resume!
