The Department of Civil Engineering invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence July 1, 2017. Candidates with significant academic and/or industrial experience may be considered for appointment at a higher rank.  We are looking to appoint a motivated candidate who will lead the Department’s goal of establishing a strong research program in Transportation Engineering. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the area of Transportation Engineering with a particular research focus and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: traffic operations, public transit, freight transportation and logistics, railway transportation, transportation planning, intelligent transportation systems, and transportation economics. Candidates must demonstrate excellence, or promise of excellence, in teaching and scholarly research and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely-related field, and be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
