This information session will be of interest to both first-time applicants, as well as those of you who are resubmitting applications.
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Office of Research Services (ORS) are coordinating an NSERC Information Session for those faculty members who are in the process of preparing an NSERC Grant (Discovery and RTI) for this Fall’s NSERC Grant competition (deadline November 1 and October 25 respectively). All eligible researchers are encouraged to attend this session. These sessions are intended to provide tips and techniques on how to write a successful application, provide information on the conference model, peer review process, selection criteria as well as highlighting news and developments at NSERC.
Dr. Laurie Wilcox, a Grant Selection Committee member from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health, will present on “How to prepare a Discovery Grant application” and will provide tips and advice as well as pitfalls to avoid.
A representative from NSERC will present updates on various NSERC programs and initiatives.
