The Office of Research Services (ORS) is coordinating an NSERC Information Session for those faculty members who are in the process of preparing an NSERC Grant (Discovery and RTI) for this Fall’s NSERC Grant competition (deadline November 1 and October 25, respectively). All eligible researchers are encouraged to attend this session. These sessions are intended to provide tips and techniques on how to write a successful application, provide information on the conference model, peer review process and the selection criteria.

Successful Recipient of NSERC Equipment Grant (2016 Competition)
Dr. Alidad Amirfazli will discuss tips and strategies for preparing a winning Discovery Grant application (methodology, budget etc.) based on his past experience as a new researcher and an established one. Dr. George Zhu will do the same for an RTI grant application.
The session will also consist of two panel members who all have experience as NSERC Selection Committee members. They will provide valuable advice on the peer review process.
