CEWIL: Tips for supervising students remotely

● In an effort to ensure the health and safety of students, remote work for co-op and internship is available.
● We are asking employer partners to review and adhere to the Public Health Agency of Canada guidelines, along with the relevant provincial/territorial public health authority, which can be viewed here.
● Please contact us about any changes to the co-op/internship work term for any current co-op or internship students.
We are actively facilitating recruitment for Winter 2022 and Summer 2022 positions.
⠀⠀⠀● The Co-op job posting period for Winter 2022 is from September 6, 2021 – December 17, 2021. We recommend posting between September – November to generate the most available candidates as job offers begin as early as November.
⠀⠀⠀● The Co-op job posting period for Summer 2022 is from January 10, 2022 – April 30, 2022. We recommend posting between January – March  to generate the most available candidates as job offers begin as early as mid-February.
⠀⠀⠀● Please email your postings to or register on our portal to post your co-op positions.

We are here to help coordinate interviews and job offers.  Interviews and job offer timelines are flexible. Peak interviewing times occur from early February – April.  We recommend employers utilize virtual methods to conduct interviews in lieu of in-person interviews. Our team is happy to support in coordinating Zoom and Teams interviews.

Start date for Summer 2022 work terms.   Summer 2022 work term start date can begin as early as May 2.
⠀⠀⠀● Co-op and Internships require full-time hours (35-40 per week) at a period of 14-16 weeks. Due to the evolving public health guidelines,  we recognize you may experience delays in your effort to ensure the safety of your employees. Please connect with a member of our team for any additional questions.
The job posting period for Fall 2022 will begin on May 9, 2022. If this date does not align with your recruitment timelines, we are flexible and can work with your timelines.  Please send us your Fall 2022 postings to and one of our team members will contact you.
