Degree Requirements<\/h2>\n \n

Candidates for the MASc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering must complete four graduate three-credit courses, and write and successfully defend a Masters thesis.<\/p>\n

Upon acceptance to the MASc program, the Candidate will meet with their thesis supervisor, who will advise them on the degree requirements and assist them in their course selection and research. Students are expected to complete their degree requirements in no more than five terms (twenty months). Students also are required to submit a Progress Report each term on December 31 (Fall Term) April 30 (Winter Term) and August 31 (Summer Term) until the completion of degree requirements.<\/p>\n

For entry into Fall, our application is available October 15 \u2013 December 15.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n\n

No more than one course integrated with an undergraduate course (EECS 5XXX courses) can be used to satisfy degree program requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Candidate must conduct approved thesis research that demonstrates his\/her research ability in the selected field of specialization under the general direction of a supervisor. Typically, the thesis will include a practical demonstration or implementation of the research work undertaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
