Intelligent Autonomous Machines Research

Dudek, G and Jenkin, M. Computational Principles of Mobile Robins, 3rd Edition, CUP. Available in hard cover, soft cover and eBook formats, this research text is also being translated for international publication.

The VECTION project on the ISS has come to a successful conclusion with the first publications related to the entire dataset being published. Others are under review.
See Jörges, B., Bury, N., McManus, M., Bansal, A., Allison, R. S., Jenkin, M. and Harris,
L. R., The effects of long-term exposure to microgravity and body orientation relative to gravity on perceived traveled distance, Nature Microgravity, 10:28.

Work on the relationship between neutral buoyancy and the perception of upright has resulted in two publications with German collaborators:

Bury, N. A., Jenkin, M., Allison, R. S., Herpers, R., and Harris, L. R. Vection underwater illustrates the limitations of neutral buoyancy as a microgravity analog. npj Microgravity 9 (1), 42.
