In addition, we also introduced new modes of learning, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/lassonde.yorku.ca\/lassondes-stem-programs-reflect-changing-world\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">redesigned<\/a> common core of engineering courses <a href=\"https:\/\/lassonde.yorku.ca\/student-life\/engineering-block-model\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">offered in \u2018blocks\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We celebrated the accomplishments of our community, including Professor John Moores being named Science Advisor to the President of the Canadian Space Agency and Michelle Tsui Woods, the associate director of our k2i academy, being appointed as a board member for Science Teachers\u2019 Association Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw incredible student learning and breaking down barriers to learning. The event was an opportune moment for researchers to learn about ongoing projects at Lassonde and celebrate one another.
