Hyflex Classroom Instructions

  1. On the Creston display, touch the “Podium Computer” option  
  2. Select which projector you want to display, or you can select “ALL” to display on all the projectors.  
  3. Sign into the Podium computer using your PPY username and password. NOTE: Only faculty and staff can sign into the Podium computers; student accounts may not work.  
  4. Launch your preferred video conferencing platform (e.g. Zoom, Teams, etc.) and make sure the Camera selected is “AVer TR311HN” and the Microphone selected is “Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (HDL300)”.  
  5. Share the writable display screen so anything displayed through the projector will also be displayed on your video conference platform.  

To Use a Personal Device – Share your screen through Zoom (HDMI not available)  

  1. Sign in to Zoom and launch a meeting on your personal device.  
  2. Share your device screen or the specific application in Zoom  
  3. On the Creston display, touch the “Podium Computer” option  
  4. Select which projector you want to display, or you can select “ALL” to display on all the projectors.  
  5. Sign into the Podium computer using your PPY username and password. NOTE: Only faculty and staff can sign into the Podium computers; student accounts may not work.  
  6. Then, on the podium computer, sign into Zoom.  
    • Note: You may notice a message on your personal device saying you have been signed out. This is fine, and it will still work.  
  7. Open the same Zoom meeting that you launched on your personal computer  
  8. This will trigger a prompt asking if you want to claim Host. You can either claim host or remain co-host  
  9. Mute the microphone and speakers on your personal device to avoid echoing.  
  10. Drag the window with the shared screen to the writable display. This screen is mirrored to the projectors and will be visible to the classroom.
