How to create Interactive videos in H5P on EClass
1. Navigate to the “Content Bank” in your course, by clicking on the “More” option in the top menu, then click “Content Bank”.
2. On the “Content Bank” page, click the red “Add” button, in the drop-down menu. Scroll down and choose the “Interactive video” option.
3. On the next page, enter a title for your own organizational purposes in the “Title” box. Then click the “Interactive video” drop down menu and under the “The title of this interactive video” enter a title for the students.
Finally click the dotted square with a plus button under the “Add a video section”
4. On the popup menu, click the “Upload a file” icon then choose the video from your computer.
5. While your video is uploading you will see the progress, you will need to wait until the progress reaches 100% and turns into a black box with the file type.
6. Once the video has uploaded, you can click the “Add interactions” button at the bottom of the page.
7. On the next page, you can play the video to ensure it works. Use the navigation bar to adjust the video to the timestamp where you want to add the question. Once on the timestamp in the video, pause the video, then click the question type you would like to add from the top menu. In this case we are adding the “Multiple choice” option.
8. On the question menu, choose the “Poster” option, then under the “Title” box, enter a title for your purposes. Under the “Question” box, enter the question for the students.
9. Scroll down and enter the answer options in the blue boxes. For your “Correct answer” select the “Correct” checkbox under the answer you have entered. To add more options, click the blue “ADD OPTION” button at the bottom of the list.
10. Once you have entered all the question details, click the blue “Done” button at the bottom of the page.
11. You will now be back on the video page; you will see the question you created as a small box. Click and drag from the corner of the box until the question fills the page. You may also need to click and drag from the middle of the question box to move it around.
12. See below the question fills the page.
13. Repeat steps 7-12 for all the questions you want to add to the video. Once done, click the red “Save” button at the bottom of the page. You do not need to click the “Add summary” button on the bottom right.
14. You will then be taken to a page to test the video, you can leave this page by clicking the “Exit” button on the top right.
