On June 19, 2025, York University\u2019s Lassonde School of Engineering hosted Additive & Smart Construction \u2013 Talent and Tech<\/em>, a half-day industry event that explored the future of construction innovation in Canada. The event brought together researchers, builders, technology experts, and government partners to discuss solutions for housing, labour shortages, and climate-resilient infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The morning sessions were followed by a tour of Lassonde\u2019s Climate Data Driven Design (CD3) facility<\/a>. A live demonstration of a 3D concrete printer by Printerra showcased how emerging technologies are reshaping sustainable building practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the success of the day, Prof. Liam Butler, Associate Professor and Director of CD3, shared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
