Building success through partnerships
At Lassonde, we believe that success is rooted in collaboration, and our partnerships play a crucial role in driving innovation and educational excellence.
This year, we welcomed IBM as a new partner in our Digital Technologies BASc program, Canada’s first fully work-integrated degree, which saw 100% contract renewals of its first cohort. With partners like Alstom, BMO, Shopify, Quanser and Dayforce, this program allows students to gain hands-on experience while addressing the digital skills gap in Canada’s tech industry. We also formed a valuable partnership with Printerra, providing students with hands-on experience in 3D printing technologies for housing solutions, and we continued to strengthen existing partners such as the Independent Electricity System Operator and St. Michael’s Hospital.
We often collaborate with industry, research institutions and community organizations through our Organized Research Units (ORUs), fostering interdisciplinary work that drives real-world impact from advancing novel technologies to addressing sustainable transportation solutions.
This year, Lassonde also hosted the Privaci Symposium, marking the first time this prestigious event took place outside the United States, bringing together a diverse community of thinkers and innovators to ideate and inform the next generation of privacy-enhancing solutions.

“It was a privilege for the Humanitarian Response Network of Canada to have the chance to hold our training within the Lassonde facilities and to have members of the School joining the training. I believe many of the School’s activities, webinars, presentations and courses could bring a lot to the staff of our members.”
