With smaller class sizes and a supportive community, the School offers a personalized learning experience that’s not very common in universities. The 2023-24 Impact Report displays Lassonde’s exceptional approach to education and the many academic and professional opportunities made available to students.

Advancement

  • Lassonde students received a total of $15M in awards, scholarships, and bursaries, including from York. $7M for undergraduate students and $8M for graduate students.  (These supported their success through funding and recognition of their achievements.)
  • 221 undergraduate students received over $1.38M in awards, scholarships, and bursaries from Lassonde. (Financial support made a significant difference in their lives by reducing the cost of education and lightening the financial burden of student loans.)
  • Over $2.5M in new funding supported students, research and programs. 
  • $60+M donated to Lassonde since its inception. (This has opened doors to higher education access and completion, particularly for those from underserved communities.)
  • 15 Lassonde Scholars were chosen for their academic excellence, passion for extracurricular activities and dedication to making a positive social impact.
  • 34 students were granted over $600,000 in Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) funding for Electrical Engineering training.
