Printing and Scanning for faculty

Service Details

A variety of printing, copying and scanning facilities are available in the Lassonde

• Ricoh Multi-Function Printers (MFP) can print, copy and scan
• Secure printing is enabled on the shared Ricoh MFPs to ensure privacy of printed documents
• Print jobs can be released from any shared Ricoh MFP within Osgoode
• Colour scanning is available on the Ricoh MFPs
• Departmental backup printers are available for use if the Ricoh MFPs are out of order

Printer Locations

Shared printers are available in the following locations.  Departmental printers are located within the departments’ suites.  Physical access to the printers is authorized by the Office of the Executive Officer (ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca)

Accessing Printing Services

• A Passport York account is required to use the printers
• Faculty and staff receive access to printers as part of the onboarding process
• If you do not have access to printers, a request must be sent by your manager to ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca
• Printers are installed automatically on Windows machines. If you do not have the printer installed, follow Installing Printers on your Device for instructions
• macOS devices need the printer to be installed manually; follow Installing Printers on your Device for instructions
• Your device must be connected to the wired network in the Osgoode building, to AirYork Plus or to VPN (Pulse Secure) to send print jobs

Toner and Staples

• For toner or staples replacement in the copiers, contact ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca

Paper

• Paper for the shared printers is requested through the Office of the Executive Officer (ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca)
• Paper for departmental backup printers is ordered through SmartBuy by the department
