Getting a Passport York Account

  • York Student: If you are a York student coming to Lassonde, you will need to sign into https://mms.yorku.ca in July to have your Lassonde e-mail and other access provisioned
  • Non-York Student: If you are a new student, you need to create a Passport York account

Creating your Passport York Account

  1. Go to mms.yorku.ca
  2. Click New Student Sign Up
  3. Follow the instructions to create your Passport York account

Accessing Services

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication has been implemented across York.  You will be prompted to setup a device with Duo 2FA to be able to access your services.  Follow the prompts to setup Duo.

See Duo Two-Factor Authentication for details on setting up Duo 2FA, and obtaining a hardware token.

E-mail and Calendaring

Within 72 business hours of creating your Passport York account, your @lassonde.yorku.ca e-mail address will be created, with the following naming convention:

JD Student (Regular or Joint Program)FirstLastYYYY@lassonde.yorku.ca (YYYY = Entrance Year)
Transfer, Letter of Permission, NCAFirstLast@lassonde.yorku.ca
All Other Students (Including LLM)FirstLast@lassonde.yorku.ca

Contact Lassonde IT for Accessing E-mail and Calendaring for instructions on accessing your Lassondee-mail address.

Changing your Password

  1. Go to Manage my Services (mms.yorku.ca)
  2. Check the box that reads Click this box before logging in to change your Passport York password.
  3. Sign in using your Passport York credentials
  4. Follow the instructions to change your password on the next screen

Resetting a Forgotten Password

  1. Go to Manage my Services (mms.yorku.ca)
  2. Under Forgot your Password or Username? click Students
  3. Follow the instructions to reset your password on the next screen

Changing your Passport York Username

  1. Send an e-mail to ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca with the following information:
    1. Full Name
    2. Current Passport York username
    3. Three options for the new username (usernames have an eight character limit)

Changing your Name

  1. Change your name officially with York’s registrar’s office; this will update the name associated with your Passport York account.
  2. Contact ask2lit@lassonde.yorku.ca to let them know you have changed your name
