Professor Gunho Sohn and Professor Hina Tabassum represented MOVE at DiscoveryX 2026, Ontario’s premier innovation conference hosted by the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI).
Together with colleagues from the Centre for Manufacturing, Technology and Entrepreneurship (MTEC) and the Centre for Research in Earth & Space Science (CRESS), MOVE participated in Lassonde’s shared research booth that highlighted the breadth of York’s innovation ecosystem.
DiscoveryX brought together entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, industry leaders, and government representatives from across Ontario, providing an excellent platform to share research, foster new collaborations, and demonstrate the impact of York University’s research community.
During the event, the Lassonde booth also welcomed The Honourable Nolan Quinn, Ontario’s Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security, who met with researchers to learn more about the innovative work taking place across the University’s research centres.
