Course Requirements
I will have successfully completed all the following required courses by the time I begin my first co-op work period:
30 or more credits at the 2000 level

I have attended the mandatory Lassonde Co-op/Internship sessions with marked attendance.

International Students
You are required to have a co-op work permit. You need to apply as soon as possible. Please visit us during drop-ins immediately after completing a Co-op/Internship Information Session.
Submit an Application
Registration into the co-op program is dependent on when you would like to begin your co-op. Register in October for Summer, March/April for Fall, and August/September for Winter.
*Summer applications will receive a decision on their application in December.

Earth Atmospheric Science (EATS)
Academic Requirements
I am a full-time student in an honours program
My CGPA is 5.0 or higher
I will have completed 50 credits AND no more than 81 credits before my first co-op
I will have successfully completed all core 1000 and 2000 level courses before my first co-op
Full-time refers to York University’s definitions.
- at least 60% course load (at least 9 credits in each term) for undergraduate students
- at least 40% course load (at least 6 credits in each term) for undergraduate students with a disability

Transfer Credits
Transfer Credit Assessment
Students with transfer credits will have their academic records reviewed thoroughly. Only credits that count towards the completion of their respective Lassonde School of Engineering degree will be part of the calculation. Students are encouraged to speak to a Co-op Coordinator during Drop-ins should they have questions about their eligibility for the program.
How to know if you have transfer credits:
- Have you received credits from another institution such as a university or college?
- Have you received course waivers or exemptions from another program at York?
