Academic Requirements

I am a full-time student in an honours program

My CGPA is 5.0 or higher

I will have completed 50 credits AND no more than 81 credits before my first co-op

I will have successfully completed all core 1000 and 2000 level courses before my first co-op

Full-time refers to York University’s definitions.

  • at least 60% course load (at least 9 credits in each term) for undergraduate students
  • at least 40% course load (at least 6 credits in each term) for undergraduate students with a disability

Digital Media Co-op

Academic Requirements

I am a full-time student in an honours program

I will have completed 50 – 81 credits before my first co-op

As a Digital Media student, my CGPA is 5.0 or higher

Full-time refers to York University’s definitions.

  • at least 60% course load (at least 9 credits in each term) for undergraduate students

Transfer Credits

Transfer Credit Assessment

Students with transfer credits will be required to submit a request for a Transfer Credit Assessment for Co-op Eligibility Mach Form. This Mach Form is only open during specific times throughout the year and is aligned with the Co-op Registration timelines. Deadlines will be updated for each term every beginning of the month of March or April (for Fall applications), September (for Summer and Winter applications).

  1. Access the Transfer Credit Assessment for Co-op Eligibility Mach Form.
  2. Fill out the form as it pertains to you
  3. IMPORTANT: this form is only open during a specific time in alignment with the application period. Be sure to review the eligibility & requirements page of our website for specific dates.

How to know if you have transfer credits:

  1. Have you received credits from another institution such as a university or college?
  2. Have you received course waivers or exemptions from another program at York?
