Coursework

– Complete nine (9) credit course requirements (not including 6030). Students may be required to take further half-course if the supervisory committee determines that this is necessary to strengthen a student’s background in the thesis area.  Ideally, these courses should be completed in the first year.  However, due to course scheduling, students may need to take courses into the second year.

Within term 1 & 2, complete the Supervisor & Supervisory Committee Approval Form with your supervisor. The completed form will be entered into the FGS portal and your supervisory committee will need to approve online.

Within term 3, submit your ESS Thesis/Dissertation Proposal Form and upload it to the FGS Research Ethics Portal. Note: The questions in research ethic portal replace the TD1 form (no human participants, no animals, no biohazards and no secondary data analysis). Should your research involve any of the previously mentioned, please refer to the Faculty of Graduate Studies website to complete other forms.
