How to provide better access to affordable food and increase food security on campus?

Challenge Summary:

Access to quality, nutritious, affordable and diverse food options on campus continues to be a challenge for post-secondary students across Ontario. Due to many university and college closures during the pandemic, vital services such as campus food assistance were reduced or frozen for students in need, coupled with reduction in employment opportunities, all which worsened the ability of students to meet their basic needs. Food insecurity can have detrimental effects on students’ academic performance and health. How can we provide better access to affordable food and increase food security on campus?
