Lassonde’s BEST Lab startup, Gather, is one of ten companies worldwide accepted into the Inaugural Class of Techstars Korea Accelerator, a program which invests companies with high-potential while they are still in their early stages. Techstars adds Kore-exclusive value to these companies to help make global distribution a possibility.
Gather is a social scheduler application founded by David Kim, Daniyal Anjum and Omar Abbasi, a team of students who met and got their idea off the ground with the support of the BEST Lab.
The purpose of the app is to solve the logistical problem for university students, brought on by social isolation due to COVID-19. Gather simplifies coordinating and scheduling activities for users with the use of dynamic feeds based on their preferences.
The 2020 class of Techstars Korea Accelerator will start on August 31st, 2020 in Seoul, Korea and run for thirteen weeks.
