Lassonde Innovation Fund (LIF)

The LIF program will support three categories of applications: ​​​​​​​Category A: Innovative and risky projects leading to future funding applications: Up to three projects will be funded. Category B: Inter-departmental, multidisciplinary, inter-faculty projects; SSHRC and CIHR-eligible projects are encouraged. One project to be funded. Category C: Research project working directly on one of the SDG goals: One project to be funded.
Value: $25K plus up to $12.5K for projects that include domestic training only.

NSERC Alliance Quantum: Advancing the Industrial Readiness of Quantum Sensing Technologies

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) have partnered through the NSERC Alliance Quantum Grants. This funding opportunity aims to strengthen Canada’s quantum research and innovation capacity in quantum sensing and advance the development and application of technologies in this domain for the benefit of Canadians.
Value: $100K – $350K/year
Duration: 1 – 3 years

Lassonde Innovation Awards (LIA)

Four Lassonde Innovation Awards are now open for nominations: Innovation Award – Early-Career, Innovation Award – Established, Graduate Mentorship Award, and Public Engagement Award.
