How to Prepare
It is essential that you create your Passport York (PPY) Account so that you can enrol in courses. You will use this account to access all online services at York University including the computer labs at York University. This step includes setting up your 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) via the Duo Mobile app. When prompted to setup your 2FA, you must setup using a mobile number. Do not use biometrics such as fingerprint or facial recognition.
If you had accommodations at your previous institution (high school, college or university) or require accommodations now, register with Student Accessibility Services today for your accommodations at York University. You can register after accepting your offer of Admission. Registration with Student Accessibility Services will not be identified on official records, academic transcripts, or graduation documentation.
International Students, payment of your $1500.00 CDN acceptance deposit is required to enrol in courses. If you have been approved for domestic fees, the deposit is $300.00 CDN.
Payment must be received at least 2 days PRIOR to your enrolment date.

Students with an English Proficiency condition of admission must satisfy this condition to enrol in courses. If you need more time to satisfy your English Proficiency condition of admission, please revisit your MyFile and re-schedule your enrolment for a future date.

In-person or via E-mail
If you are registered for an appointment occurring on a THURSDAY:
1. We will e-mail you your new student enrolment package at approximately 10am EDT on the date you selected.
2. You are not required to be anywhere in-person or online. Simply check your e-mail.
If you are registered for an appointment occurring on a FRIDAY:
1. These sessions occur in-person on the Keele Campus at York University.
2. Location details are specified in your MyFile account.

On the Thursday you’ve selected in your MyFile, you will receive a customized enrolment package via email from our Academic Advising team. You do not have to attend a physical appointment to enrol in your courses. Simply check your e-mail.
We recommend that you set aside some time (approximately 2 hours) to review all the material in your customized enrolment package. You will be guided through a series of videos called e-tutorials to learn more about the Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, how to enrol in courses, and actions you can take to prepare for the start of the term. You can enrol in your courses at your own pace on the day you receive your e-mail. We look forward to meeting you in-person at various events occurring throughout the Summer and Fall/Winter terms!

Students who are relatively local to York University participate in an in-person new student enrolment appointment. Plan to arrive early, especially if it is your first time visiting the campus. During your in-person appointment, you will learn more about the Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, how to enrol in courses, and actions you can take to prepare for the start of the term. You will also meet members of our Academic Advising and Student Engagement teams, other new students, and current York University students as well. All in all, this is a great opportunity to meet new people and get your questions answered on the spot.

Keep up the hard work! If you’ve chosen to attend the Lassonde School of Engineering, remember to accept your offer of admission and satisfy all of your admission conditions. If you have not already done so, accept your offer online via your MyFile account. You can review any admission conditions in your original offer of admission letter.
