Professor Mike Daly’s asteroid research featured in Nature

Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering Professor Mike Daly’s new paper offers an interesting picture of the asteroid Bennu. Daly is the science lead for one of five instruments aboard the OSIRIS-Rex mission.

The first observations of Bennu are published in the prominent journal Nature and cite the asteroid as possessing a shape, “indicative of a rubble pile with internal stiffness.”
