Transferring to York University

After successfully completing Years 1 & 2 of the B.E. (Computer Science) program at Chitkara University with a minimum CGPA of 7/10, eligible students may apply to transfer to Year 3 of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science at York University in Toronto.
All approved credits from Chitkara will be recognized at York through full Recognition of Prior Learning, allowing you to complete your remaining two years in Canada and graduate with a York University BSc (Computer Science).

Post-Graduation Opportunities
After completing your degree at York University, you may be eligible to apply for a three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada, which allows you to gain professional experience in a rapidly growing tech economy.
To transfer and start studies in Canada, students must:
- Secure a valid study permit through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
- Maintain required academic performance during Years 1 & 2
- Meet eligibility criteria and immigration regulations at the time of application
