Bergeron Centre in the Toronto Star

The Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence is the subject of a new video by Christopher Hume, an architecture critic and urban affairs columnist at the Toronto Star.

Hume describes Lassonde’s new home as an example of the “architecture of education in the 21st century.” He notes that the building is a step in a new direction for the York University Keele campus and praises the Bergeron Centre for being an open, welcoming and casual environment for students.

He visited the Sandbox in the Design Commons, a space where students work in groups, learn new skills and engage in “intellectual play”.
