Calling the Lassonde Community!
We need your support for a key pan-university recruitment event: Spring Open House on Saturday, March 15.
This event is a vital opportunity to showcase Lassonde’s programs to prospective students and their families, many of whom are in the process of deciding whether to accept their offers of admission.
🗓️ Event Details
Date: Saturday, March 15
Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (includes setup and cleanup; doors open at 9:00 AM)
Location: Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence
⭐️ Purpose
Spring Open House is a campus-wide event designed to give prospective students and their families a chance to explore Lassonde and discover what makes us unique. Activities include:
- General Info Sessions: Admissions, Co-op, and a “Why Lassonde” Student Panel
- Academic Info Sessions: Tailored to each program or program cluster
- Program-Specific Tours: Faculty, TAs, or lab techs will lead tours showcasing labs and facilities
- Program Drop-In Rooms: Faculty, TAs, or lab techs will run demos and interactive activities
🗒️ Additional Information
- Availability: We kindly request that all volunteers are available for the entire event, including both setup and cleanup.
- Lunch: Provided for all Lassonde Reps!
- Attire: Due to budget constraints, we kindly ask Lassonde representatives to re-wear their t-shirt and name badge from a previous recruitment event.
🤝 Get Involved
We invite current Lassonde students to help with guest greetings, front desk registration, managing information sessions, providing wayfinding assistance within the Bergeron Centre, and guiding guests from other campus buildings to Bergeron. Your involvement is key to the success of this event and to inspiring the next generation of Lassonde students!
