Four Lassonde Students secure $98K in research funding
Four Lassonde graduate students have successfully secured top-tier grants from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), totalling $98K.
Three students were awarded the NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships – Doctoral Program, valued at $21,000 per year.
- Benjamin Brunson, Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering, awarded $21,000 for 3 years
- Ji-Eun (Jamie) Lee, Department of Mechanical Engineering, awarded $21,000 for 3 years
- Ahmed Mahmoud, Department of Civil Engineering, awarded $21,000 for 2 years
This scholarship program provides financial support to high-calibre scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the field of natural sciences or engineering.
The fourth award recipient, Md. Abdullah Asad a doctoral student from the Department of Civil Engineering, has been awarded the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship valued at $35,000 per year for a three-year term.
This scholarship program provides financial support to top-ranked applicants and allows these scholars to fully concentrate on their studies and seek out the best research mentors in their chosen field.
