Fresh Success: Lyofresh wins first prize at Schulich Startup Night
It was an evening of accomplishments for BEST Lab startup Lyofresh Technologies. Tuesday night marked the 8th Schulich Startup Night pitch event where Lyofresh Technologies won first place, receiving the $2,500 prize, $15K Fast-track Financing from Futurpreneur, a startup consulting package from KPMG and ongoing mentorship with Schulich Entrepreneur in Residence, Chris Carder (Kinetic Café).
With over 250 people in attendance and an illustrious panel of judges, Lyofresh Technologies continues its upward trajectory in the sustainable food technology business. Their achievements will aid in their long-term mission to end hunger, achieve food security and create sustainable food systems.
Lyofresh would like to thank the Schulich School of Business, the Lassonde School of Engineering, KPMG and Kinetic Commerce for organizing this event. It’s an exciting time for Lyofresh as they continue to grow their business and develop technology to provide “healthy food for everyone, anywhere.”
