Prof. Hossein Kassiri wins prestigious award at ISSCC 2018
Lassonde Professor Hossein Kassiri recently attended IEEE conference, International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), to accept an award for his recent paper.
Awarded the IEEE ISSCC 2017 Jack Kilby Award for Outstanding Student Paper, Kassiri is recognized as the first academic from a Canadian university ever to win the award. Previous beneficiaries are exclusively from MIT, Stanford, and UC Berkeley.
Kassiri’s paper addresses the demand for accurate capture and control of neurological disorders such as epileptic seizures.
