Bio

Aditya Potukuchi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University. He obtained Ph.D. in 2020 from Rutgers University. After that, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago hosted by the TRIPODS Institute for Foundations of Data Science during 2020-2022.
His main area of research is theoretical computer science, especially combinatorial problems that arise in the context of algorithms, coding theory, and the foundations of data science. Specifically, his focus is on applying methods from statistical physics and enumerative combinatorics to obtain phase transitions and algorithms for sampling and counting.
