Speaker Biography
Gail Carmichael comes from a computer science background. She is an experienced programmer and educator with 15 years of experience in technology and computing education.
She is currently a Principal Technical Content Designer at Splunk, working on the Engineering Enablement and Engagement team. She was previously Senior Technical Learning Designer at Shopify, where she led the design and launch of the ground-breaking Dev Degree Program, first launched at Carleton University; the program is now offered at the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University and at the Dominican College in the US.
